2020.10.26 PRESENTATION

GENERAL OVERVIEW:

I decided to focus on the territory where we have courts. This is a nice place, but is a bit not attractive to access from the bridge. So the intention of my intervention is to

1. make access from the bridge to the courts' area more attractive / easy and "clean"

2. develop the area and introduce more functions related to entertainment / relax using the fact that the area is at the river. 

Instead of private "closed" courts, the territory will be publicly accessible for everyone at any given moment of time. 

UPDATE: 
For now, in order to achieve the abovementioned goals, I am arranging following elements on the site: 

- Closed, rectangular pavilion with stairs and multifunctional space (for temporary exhibitions, for example). The main function is to provide the "clean" access to the riverside from the bridge. 

- Open air elements which serve as means of introducing new functions on the territory of the courts: 

A. Open air theater scene and seats (I tried to maximally use the existing terrain shapes for the seats)

B. Skatepark. Skateparks are becoming more and more attractive for people of different age groups. Therefore I assume that this element/function can drive people to the location.

"platforms" on the river banks for spending leisure time. probably that would be used during summer as open-air cafe or so some chill space.. maybe I will model some outdoor cinema screen somewhere later.  That's it for now. In the end, there are some references to what kind of "architecture" I will have in mind.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6sbyVMg792s   this video helped me to understand what kind of designs the skaters actually enjoy. basically, there are two types: free-modeled and prefab elements. according to this guy, the first option is the better one.  I also went through the website of the skate park design company mentioned at the end of this video to get a better feeling / inspiration.  this is the basic general idea so far, and I still have to model the "access" into the skate park. the depth is 1.5 meters, so one can not just jump into it. I'm thinking to add some curved slope down to the bottom but will work on it after the damn state exam.  Thanks for attention!
